Approaching a Year at Goal

Thanks Stacy!  Maintenance scared me too but it is completely workable and so worth it!  I think one of the most important distinctions I made was being purposeful and clear about when  I finished weight loss mode and moved into maintenance mode. So I'm glad that you are looking at doing that too.  It can be a slippery slope trying to try to hang out somewhere in between.

Linda....

Many compliments to you, so well done and I'm not the least bit surprised !!!

Your approach with very clear boundaries and the way you organize your thought process to the many elements and stages to this process is very impressive !!!!

I'm glad that I was able to follow your progress and you never skipped a beat and the foundation you have build is ROCK SOLID !!!!!

Way to go !!!!

Thank you, my friend. Yes, I do all the work, but I model it all on the information, support and inspiration that you and a few other key people provide on this Forum.

I continue to look for what is most likely to bring success and I copy it. It works for achieving goal and it works for maintaining it. Goal has and continues to be very important to me and I like to think this keeps me clear headed and accountable.

THANK YOU for sharing your success and maintenance insights.  Reading these types of posts encourage me and reinforce that I'm on the right track: learning the basics, measuring, planning and thinking things thru before just reaching for chocolate.....

Congratulations!  Thanks for posting your strategies for maintenance,  it's very helpful for newbies like me!  I'm not anywhere near maintenance yet,  but posts like these from you and the other vets helps me to plan ahead for when I get there.

Thanks!  I think it's always a good idea to be thinking further out because it helps us to connect the dots, so to speak.  For me, it gets me thinking about how what I am doing now fits into where I need to go :)

When you say that you're brain "lights up" from eating carbs, do you mean that it triggers cravings for more carbs?

My surgery isn't for 3 more weeks, but I appreciate posts like this so that I can add more techniques for success to my bag of tricks. I am eager to get started!
