Vitamin Q&A...New Sleever
9 days post op now and all is well thus far.....except I hate these vitamins. Bariatric vitamins are horrible and I don't see how I can meet my goal of taking these on a regular schedule. The dietitian recommended Flintstones complete and liquid vitamins. Any thoughts are welcomed. Just the thought of chewing more vitamins makes me nauseous.
What specifically about Celebrate makes them absorbed better than another multi, like Centrum? The ASMBS says special "bariatric" vitamins aren't necessary.

I've been taking Bariatric Advantage - my NUT gave me a trial pack with all the different flavors, so I found ones I like. I actually think they're pretty tasty.
What brand are you using?

My BA multi is orange, and I think it's pretty tasty! But all of our tastebuds are different :/
My doc also suggests Wellesse brand, I think? For the liquid option.

The only Wellesse multi has NO minerals at all. I hope your doc isn't recommending that!

Interesting! I didn't actually look into liquids as an option at all so I might have just pulled that name out of memory from seeing it here or something. I do know there was -a- liquid vitamin recommended by my NUT. I apologize for incorrect information!

It may have been the one recommended. Wellesse actually markets it to WLS patients, which I think is pretty unethical. Unfortunately, many people don't bother to actually read labels. That's why they take vitamins like Optisource or Bariatric Fusions and think they are getting all they need. They believe the marketing and don't bother to read the label and see what they are really getting. Same with the Wellesse multi.
