Calcium Citrate in Ottawa?

What are people in Ottawa taking as their Calcium Citrate?  I was taking Opurity, but don't want to order it online anymore.  Citracal are horse pills and I can't seem to handle them.  I can't find Citracal petite in any stores in Ottawa.  Any suggestions?

thanks,

Debbie

I couldn't find Citracal petites on a consistent basis, so did switch over to the regular, horse-pill sized Citracals.  They were daunting at first, but I seem to be handling them okay.  You could always get a pill splitter to break them up a bit.  At least this brand is consistently in stock...or so it seems!

Good luck!

I've been using store brand Calcium Citrate, regular pills.  My latest ones are from Rexall.  They are regular size, but if that's too big, I agree, you could use a pill splitter.  When I first had surgery, I did find liquid calcium, but never liked the taste.

I'd recommend this: http://www.wellesse.com/our-supplements/calcium_vitamind3_liquid/

It's available at Costco. 2 large bottles for $16

Hello. I just looked at it and it says each bottle has 16 servings. Does a 1oz. serving fulfill our daily requirements? Wow, just compared it with Opurity and I would get the same with 1 oz of this liquid as opposed to chewing down 4 horse pills of Opurity (cheaper price too)...sign me up

I take 2 oz. I seem to recall that the Costco bottles are 1 litre each.

ETA. Scratch that. I take 1 oz, it's 2 tbsp. but yes, the bottles at Costco are a litre.

From what i can see on the product page for this, it has both calcium citrate and calcium phosphate.

Does this matter?

In another thread, it was suggested to me to stick with calcium citrate.

I am using the Opurity as well...@ 4/day went through an entire bottle in a month! That can get pretty pricey with shipping etc. Glad you posted this

I'm using Wellese liquid calcium. Costco has packs of 2 large bottles for about $10. I take it 3x a day. 1 bottle lasted me from March 16 to yesterday.

I have bought Citrical petites at Costco.  They are behind the counter at the pharmacy.  They were also always at a better price than anywhere else I saw them.
