Still feels weird...

...when I dish food for myself and how small the portions look. I still have the "fat" girl mentality that my plate has to be piled up and think I won't get full on the small portions. To now not be able to polish everything on my plate now seems so unreal, crazy even. Just wanted to see if anyone else feels/felt the same way.

Absolutely! 9 months out and I still feel that there is no way I will feel full when I portion out my food and then I am! I still measure religiously though so I don't push the limits.

That's nice to know that 9 months out you still have that feeling. Was wondering of the pouch would have stretched by then.

I can't wait to have my surgery so I can have this feeling!  My problem is that I never feel full that's why I eat so much!!!

Good luck with your surgery. You will be getting pretty full pretty fast.

Everyone does. to this day I still have times when my eyes are bigger than my tummy.  Try a smaller plate, it helps especially with portioning.  Can't put it on the plate if there's no room for it.

I have no problem seeing the tiny food on a big plate, although I do use my nieces Disney princess set with the tiny forks, lol.

Don't laugh, that's the way I still do it most of the time.  Kids size plates.  And small forks help with small bites.  Makes the meal last a little longer.

I also use chopsticks when I'm eating stir fry.  Takes more concentration, and smaller bites.  Can only hold so much between those thing pieces of wood ;o)

I always use a small plate. It makes the portions look bigger. I can usually eat what is on my plate unless something does not agree with me

When I use a regular plate, it doesn't bother me at all. I even leave some food.
