chewing gum

Do you chew it?  Is it allowed by your plan?  Just curious!

My surgeon's plan tells us to stay away from it, and I did for the first couple of months. However, I chew sugar free gum constantly now. I'm just careful not to swallow it! :)

 The only thing about gum that I was told, was that under no cir****tances am I to swallow gum.

I chew sugar free gum from time to time.

Mostly I try to stay away from it because when you chew gum, your brain gets the message that your mouth is moving and that your stomach (pouch) is getting food, but you are getting no food. So then I get some hunger pains and its kind of anoying, if its not really time for me to be eating something.

My plan allows gum, but it makes me dump.  So no go for me!
