Sweeteners?
any of the artificial sweeteners are ok -- if you can stand the chemical taste. I'm one who can't but have found that Stevia/Truvia does not leave that chemical taste for me that aspertame or splenda does. But for some, the Stevia/Truvia causes some gas & bloating, so you just have to find what works for you.

Unfortunately, I do have that same problem with Truvia, especially in a larger dose. The Splenda is not a problem, unless I cook with it. Then that also will give me a lot of upper GI gas. I always had to eat Gas-X after trying it in baking.
I finally just gave up on the baking - too much temptation in the house, and too many starchy carbs from the flour anyway. But Splenda as a general Sweetener has worked just fine for me.
Congrats and good luck!

Stevia is the sweetener of my choice. BUT, you have to expirment with the amounts used, as it's much sweeter than sugar. DAVE
