1 yr. Post Op - How many times do you eat
I have been reading a lot of posts. I am one year and one month post-op. This is what my daily eating routine looks like. I was just wondering if the rest of you that are a year or more post-op eat/drink 5-6 small meals/protein shakes/protein coffees a day.
8:30 Breakfast: Coffee w/ scoop of protein
Water - 10 ounces
10:00/10:30 Snack: peanut butter, cottage cheese, nuts
11:00 Water - 10 ounces
1:00 - Lunch - Protein & veggies or fruit
Water - 20 ounces
2:30/3:00 - Protein Coffee
4:30/5:00 - Snack: similar to above
5:30 - Water
6:30/7:00 Dinner - Protein & veggies
I don't always have the snack at 10:00/10:30 or 4:30/5:00 - It depends on if I feel that I need one. I am not eating but about 5-6 ounces and sometimes less than that for meals. My snacks are always small.
Is this normal for others?

The balance of what you're choosing sounds good, if maybe a little low on calories but it sounds like you're just getting the minimum of liquids - if your coffee isn't decaf, you need to be drinking alot more water to compensate!

I eat six times most days. Sometimes just five, sometimes even seven.

Well, since you asked...
PROTEIN COFFEE!
Shaker bottle required!
8 oz high protein fat free milk
1 cup regular coffee (I also make decaf if I am having more than one, only one cup of coffee a day for us)
1 Scoop EAS vanilla whey protein
7 to 8 pumps of your favorite sugar free syrup (Currently, we are LOVING Starbucks Sugar Free Cinnamon Dolce, available at your local SB)
Pour the 8oz of milk into the shaker bottle. Add your scoop of protein, and the 7 to 8 pumps of syrup.
Shake well. Shake again!!
Once its completely dissolved (the protein) open the shaker bottle and pour in the cup of coffee.
Shake again.
You can warm this up in the microwave. I add hot coffee and then microwave for about 30 seconds all together.
Pour in your favorite coffee mug (you will need a big one, this is about 20oz of liquid) and enjoy.
It's warm, creamy, and approximately 35g of protein.
ENJOY!

Let it begin with me.

Sounds a lot like my day, except I need to add the protein powder to my coffee again. I've noticed I have a tendency to let my protein grams get to low lately! I eat Greek yogurt for a snack lots of days, it's high protein. Nik has a receipe for salted caramel hot chocolate that I LOVE & it makes a great pre-breakfast drink high in protein, but it does upset my stomach, so I have to be careful WHEN I drink it!
