Prozac question

Have taken Prozac on and off for years with very good results.  20mg usually worked for me, 40 during really tough times.  Usually I would take it for 3-4 months, then taper off until the next crisis months or years later.  The last time I took it was about 6 months before surgery in October.

Well I am feeling the need to start again.  I won't get into details, just trust me, I do.  Looking for advice from people who have taken Prozac with their pouch... have you  needed a change in dosage after surgery?  Do the capsules still work or do you have to switch to another form?

I take sarafem (pretty pink and purple pills) and its called Fluoxetine(prozac) in generic form, 20 mg daily for my PMDD, I use the gel capsules (do not get extended release tablets) and it works fine for me, same dosage that I was taking prior to surgery.

 

I never skipped a beat. Still works just fine.

I switched to liquid right after surgery (terrible tasting!), but went back to pills as soon as I could and now it's business as usual. Good luck!
