Metal Taste

I had my surgery Dec. 2010. Last night I was awaken from a deep sleep with gagging and a metal taste in my mouth and in my throat.  I was gagging and need to vomit. This is the 3rd time that this has happened and I don't understand why.  Has anyone else experienced this?

Help!

I have been dealing with this...turns out for me it was gums,  went to dentist and was told to start using listerine two to three times a day and havnt had it since.
