Anyone taken Doxycyclline?

I was started on Doxycycline this week for a bad sinus infection and bronchitis. I already have a hard time eating a substantial amount of food to take meds with but ...Every time I take this med my stomach just feels like it is contracting and knotting up..Is this normal after taking this? It never did this before RNY..weird

Taken it and it makes me nauseous.

I used to take doxycycline for ocular rosacea, before my RNY.  My original dosage made me nauseated and caused me to throw up.  They reduced the dosage and told me to take it with food and the problem went away. 

I just finished a week of this and it made me so sick.  I took Omeprazole before my morning dose and always after I ate, but it still made me feel awful.  Good luck to you!

Thanks for the info ladies...I guess i have to keep taking it , I go on vacay next week and dont want to be sick..but YUK!

Mkae sure you eat with it. I took it without food and was in so much pain afterward for several hours.
