I have started having muscle pain from my knees up to the top of my legs.  Does anyone have any idea?

Those are your quadricep muscles. Have you increased any activity lately? If you muscle pain is from use, did you or have you done any of the following things lately: climbed a lot of stairs, squatted a lot, been doing any formal lower body activity, started running or increased your walking miles or incorporated hills? Have you begun strength training your lower body?

If none of the above and it's a systemic problem and not a skeletal/musculature problem, I don't have a clue. But if its muscle pain caused by use/new use/or overuse...stretching, rest and ice can help. If it's a problem related to nutrients, not a clue here. You may want to speak with your physician's office and see if they have any suggestions/ideas.

Sounds like quad pain.  Are you working out?  Stretch stretch stretch.  I love that post workout soreness!
