Does this surgery make us have mood swings?

It does to some. You're burning fat, therefore you releasing all the estrogen stored in your fat that may make you have mood swings. For example, today I'm having an awesome day! But last week I was moody. When I first started, at about 4 weeks out I was super emotional, and even cried a couple of times.

Mood swings can be a definite side effect, for a variety of reasons.

I can trace mine directly to a) having a regular menstrual cycle with all the accompanying fun and b) having to deal with my emotions/life/problems without falling back on my old frenemy food.

The intense swings I had the first couple of months mellowed to a dull roar about month three.

I fight badgers with spoons.
