Back in the hospital after RNY
I fully understand how you feel! I was in the hospital for a week after surgery. Only to return two weeks later with an infection in my feeding tube. Then my wound would not close so I was out of work for almost two months. I am telling you all of this to say now I am doing GREAT . I don't have any pain and I am off off all my medications I took before RNY. I have lost almost 80 pounds. Keep your head up you will get better. You will feel so much better in a short time from now. I also had regrets but I a sure you it was all worth it.
Best wishes you are in my thoughts and prayers, and most likely in a year you will turn around and say that you are so happy that you had the surgery even with the little bumps in the road. Right now they may seem huge but in the scheme of your happiness I think that in time and with some distance you will think of them as just part of the journey. Good luck, best wishes
I was in a different hospital after my RNY for a while due to a small perforation after a dialation. I refused to do any tests or scans until they called my surgeon. After they said they talked to him, I proceeded to call his office and follow up on it. The hospital I was in also knew better than to lie to me because I also work there!!
Current weight 210 as of February 23, 2012!!!
Current size 16-18 as of February 25, 2012!!!
I'll never understand why hospitals with Bariatric units can't do a better job with menus and meals. Hang in there. I battled pancreatitis twice about 18 months post op. I finally had my gall bladder removed. What a difference.
Hang in there it will get better. A few months from now this will be a distant memory.
I hope you have a speedy recovery
