Tattoo Question
Did anyone have a tattoo before losing a bunch of weight that changed for the worse?
I am thinking of getting a tattoo - right around my ankle probably, but I am wondering if I should wait. They aren't really chunky but I would hate for it to look like crap later.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

I got a tattoo around my wrist about 1 year before surgery. I chose there because i thought that would be an area that would change the least. ...well the perfectly round image of the earth i had done is now a very distinct egg shape. It isn't bad but i am glad i didn't have others done anywhere else because i think they definitely would have been even more distorted. Planning for more but not until my weight has stabilized.
I have many many tattoos, one happens to be my whole calf. Right now I am 6 weeks out, and down almost 40 lbs and they dont look any different. I personally think some places would not maintain as well as others. Like say one on the hip, that might look funny. But for me I got most of mine before I was at my highest weight. And when I say i have many i mean like almost whole back done. one on each ankle, and then from ankle to knee on my calf on one.
Mine haven't changed but I got them when I was fat in places that didn't have a lot of fat roles. My upper back, high shoulder, inner wrist and back of my neck just at the hair line. No changes at all and I have lots of detailed line work and color.
