11months - out Fifty & Fabulous - (almost)

WoW - so on Wednesday I will celebrate my 50th b-day! last year - i was in the final stages of my preparation and will celebrate my 1 year out on the 30th of this month as well. The idea of being fat and fifty was so upsetting to me that I began the process of looking into surgery. I had wanted to have it before my 49th b-day but you know how the process can drag - i was road blocked every which way. found out i had sleep apnea, got a machine and also found out that i have aortic stenosis will eventually need valve replacement surgery. just after my birthday i had my surgery. I am happier and better than ever. I am planning my wedding and hoping i can reach my goal by June - i have been terribly frustratingly slow at losing but, i am losing. i have had my share of stalls and non scale victories. I value every one of them. for all the lite - weights, slow losers and stallers - hang in there trust the process. it will happen!
If i had any clue at all on how to post a picture of before and now - i would. but, with all these changes its damn near impossible to read a message must less reply and/or post. so, i will pit the pic in my album. i have come a long way baby!

Hey, We're surgery buddies! I had mine on the 30th too! I looked at your picture and you look absolutely fabulous! You look like a different person! It's a lot of hard work, but it sure is worth it at the end. Great job!

1962 is acknowledged as a vintage year - well, by Lora and me at least    I know I looked better on my 50th this year than I did on my 30th when I wasn't morbidly obese either.

Your commitment to your health will keep you looking and feeling great into your 50's - have a great birthday!!!!

It's awesome to be 50 and (I would imagine) feel better than you did at 40!!

I know I already feel SO much better at 53 and minus 50lbs!

Go girl! Life is JUST BEGINNING for us!
