I started my surgery 233....I am 219 and just over 4 weeks out.  I have not had a loss on the scale since November 7th.

I track everything on MFP, getting 60g of protein in the first 2 weeks.  Hit a 2 week stall at 2 weeks out.  I bumped up my protein to 80, then to 100g.  I just don't see the scale moving.

Am I doing something wrong?  I don't see a steady loss like others.

I get all my liquids in 8-10 glasses a day.

You will start to see your weight drop, just give it time! I am five weeks out and have had several long stalls. A pound lost is better than a pound gained! It will happen ! Hugs!

Thank you!  I am trying not to get discouraged.

I am in the same boat as you. I was told by my doctor that since i only had 100 lbs to lose that I wouldnt see big loss numbers. It would be a slower looking process. Also look at the % of weight lost. I was told that between 10-15% a month was a good amount. So 10-15 lbs a month was good.

At least there is good company in the boat! I guess I will have to see what month 2 has in store for me.

I completely agree with Shannon. The less weight you have to lose the slower you will lose the weight.

Thanks!  At least I'm less than 100 to go!

You aren't doing anything wrong. Stay off the scale. Take your measurements. Most people don't see a steady loss; it happens in fits and starts. Try not to get discouraged. The scale is only one way of many to track your progress.

good luck

i had that prob but i uped my protein intake and water, i also excercised as much as i could and i started losing.. I to just started zumba and it is deff worth it and helps. also if you need to i would drink those shakes we had to drink right before and after the surgery, like one a day. that made a big difference for me because my body wasnt getting everything it needed and that kind of kick started me again.
