having a bit of a meltdown

Things have been going so well. In my head I know I've lost so much weight. I can see it yet I just tried on a pair of size 28 jeans in lane bryant and they don't fit, I can't button them at all and they're skin tight in the thighs. I'm sitting in the dressing room balling my eyes out right now. I was at dress barn earlier and I tried on and bought size 2x tops that fit and look great. I just want to go home but I start a new job on Monday and have to get pants. I literally have 1 pair of pants. Sighhh. I'm so depressed right now.

They are probably sized wrong.  Don't give up, try a different store.

It took a really really really long time for my clothing size to "catch up" with my weight loss. I'm still 33 pounds away from goal but it wasnt until I got around 200 pounds that my sizing was noticeably different. The reason for me was that I wore clothes that were always too small and I continued to gain and gain and I stretched them out. Hang in there, looks like you've lost a significant amount of weight, the clothing will catch up eventually.

Don't feel bad about the Layne Bryant jeans. They are not sizing them the same. All of my jeans are 18 in pretty much all brands. I went to LB a couple of weeks ago, and ended up getting a 22. It's just their sizing, I guess.

From the waist up I feel like look great. I actually have a waist and I'm in a 2x comfortably down from 4x that i'd usually have to stretch out to fit. I'm sorry for whining and complaining. This is just messingv with my head so bad.

Maybe try a different brand or style of jeans?  Or maybe dress pants?  Sometimes jeans are cut really small.  I also don't like Lane Bryant's sizing.....it is just strange.

Lane Bryant's pants are alwayssssss sized small! Their tops fit well, but I never get their pants. Try torrid! I love their pants, especially jeans!

I ended up buying dress pants in a wide leg in a 26. I tried on their classic trouser in a 26 and it fit but I despise the cut. I need flare or wide leg but they are so hard to find. Everything else looks so bad. I'll check out torrid online. Unfortunately there isn't an actual store nearby.

Glad you found something that will work. I'm at goal and it's still hard for me to find the right fit. My thighs are still a lot bigger in proportion to the rest of me, but it is what it is. Hang in there!!

I have found pants from The Avenue to be well sized and well made.
