Surgery was Monday

About 12 hours post op and have walked one lap. Have the worlds best roommate who had WLS today also. So excited for the road ahead. They forgot to turn on the morphine pump for the first few hours and literally Tylenol for a headache was managing pain with residual recovery room drugs. That encouraged me. I do have morphine now though it was necessary to help walk.

Yay!! Be sure to do your deep breathing exercises with your spirometer. I didn't do mine often enough and ended up getting a touch of pneumonia in my left lung, which caused my temp to get too high. So I came home and then went back into the hospital the next day. :(

Keep walking as much as you can because it really helps to get rid of the gas. Welcome to the loser's bench!

I'm right there with you, had my surgery yesterday at 7:30 am.  Very little pain.  Sat in a chair last night for a couple of hours and walked 5 laps

Congratulations this is an exciting time for sure right up there with giving birth. LOL
