Iron Question....

Ok, confession time...I've been lax in my taking iron...and I have horrible monthly's....remind me again, how often do I take it....2 hours after the calcium?    Wondering if this could be making me nauceous, if it's low....so I've got to get started on it...before my yearly check up....everything else I'm so good about....but this one I really should be focusing on.

Yes, you should take your iron at least two hours after calcium.  I take mine right before bed.  This keeps me from getting nausea.

You need to take it 2 hours away from your calcium (before or after) and to help with absorption, either get one with vitamin C or add vitamin C with it. I also take mine right before bed. It's easy to remember that way.

Thanks, that might be best for me too, in remembering, I'll just have to figure out when to take my last two calcium....maybe right after work on the way home or on the way to school.   I usually save 2 for bedtime since it's a caramel chew and taste like dessert...lol

Word is you don't absorb more than 500 mg at once. Are your calcium chews the 250 mg kind or 500 mg? 

And yumm to the chews! I take the chalk kind during the day and save my "dessert" for bed, too.

They are the 250 mg so why I do 2, Bariatric advantage has been sending me emails about a new 500 mg. Wonder how it tastes?
