Milk of magnesia ok??

I'm 3 days post op and no bowel movement I think I remember hearing milk of magnesia is ok to take???

I took it a few times post op and it worked for me. It was almost a week before I was able to go to the bathroom though. 

Mind if I ask how much you took a day?

My doctor told me to take it. It does work.

It is indeed okay to take. I take it daily or I'd never go.
