I swallowed mine immediately after surgery.  Consider buying a pill cutter so you can make them smaller (the size of an M&M) if they are horse pills,  and then they should go down easily with a drink of water ...

Can't imagine crushing vitamins devil

Are you taking them with food also?   I've always found they go down easier with a soft food - they don't seem to "irritate" so much.

My vit are all chewable but i have a thyroid pill I've been crushing and it's horrible and on top of it I was given an antibiotic that is a capsule and I've been opening it an pouring in a liquid and that is the one that about sets me off!, it never dissolves no matter if it's hot or cold liquid, thinking I might call doc back see if he can get that one in a liquid.

I swallowed pills from the day after surgery, but the calcium pills were so large, it made me feel way to full, so I went to chewables on those pretty quickly. Now, if I am wanting to eat and it is not time to eat, I'll have two calcium pills and that still fills me up and I am closing in on 6 months post-op. :)

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way.  Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

We were told to cut in half or crush anything larger than an M&M for 6 weeks. The only 1 I had thT was questionable was the Prilosec. I cut it in half a couple of days then decided it was more trouble than it was worth. Took it whole no trouble.

In the hospital two days after surgery.  Not all surgeons require crushing pills.
