Dumb question
I'm just curious, if one of the reasons we don't drink with food is that the fluid pushes the food through and we don't absorb what we need from the food, then how does that affect when we swallow meds?? Is it washed out and not fully absorbed as well, I'm a newbie and still learning so I apologize for the dumb question.

The reason we don't want to push the food out of the pouch is not about absorbing things. We don't absorb stuff in the pouch. We absorb stuff in the small intestine.
The reason we don't want to push food out of the pouch is that the sooner the pouch is empty, the sooner we get hungry again.
