I have my date... finally

I don't post here very often, but I will more than likely pick that pace up a bit..

I have received my date after almost a year of hoop jumping and labs and tests.

Jan 20th 2014! While I am extremely excited, now I am incredibly nervous.

What advice/wisdom do you have?

So Happy For You!!!!   I am new here too.. just got my date for Jan. 7, 2014 so I guess we will kind of be on the same track..lol.  Good Luck to you.. not that you will need it!!  I understand how frustrating all the hoops are that you have to jump through. :)

I am also scheduled for 1/7/14 and share both the excitement and apprehension of others. I think this is a great forum for us to get more comforta ble with the idea of this surgery that we have waited for.

Congrats on getting the date!! I guess for me I didn't get nervous about it until 3 days from surgery. I guess because I was super excited that I was finally getting the surgery. I had a great support system, at home and on this site. try to allow yourself your excitement as long as you can. My surgery went like text book, so it was a good experience and I am doing very well, one week out
