What's on the menu today, RNYers?
Hi OH friends!
Y'all keep me honest here...logging my food into my MyFitnessPal app and sharing it with you really makes me think about what I am putting in my body! Thanks again for your continued interest in this - and for the guidance and recipes you're sharing!
I am still in SoCal for the conference so I don't have my kitchen scale nor can I say for sure how food was cooked. In that sense it has been a challenge. But as far as I can tell, I am doing A-OK. Last night was a little challenging because we had a group dinner for 50 with shared appetizers and a choice of two main dishes, neither of which I liked. So I had a few bites of three types of ceviche (shrimp, lobster, and crab). It's just hard to know what kind of additivies other than acid were in the ceviche.
Time since surgery: 4 weeks, 3 days
B: a scrambled egg with tobasco, 2 slices of bacon
S: coffee with a splash of soy milk
L: 2 bites of brie, 3 bites of lunch meat turkey. I think I ate too fast (I was in a conversation) so suddenly I felt SO full and like my food was stuck in my esophogous! I stopped eating immediately. So lunch was pretty small :)
D: Ugh we have a bowling event tonight. I can only imagine how terrible the food will be. I pray for lean protein...
So far, 335 calories and only 30 g of protein. I better have 1/2 of a premier protein shake to up my protein, which will bring me to 415 calories and 45 g of protein. Then I hope to find something for dinner...
Vitamins are on track, exercise is not :(
I just ordered a fit bit! I can't wait to try it!
Hope you're all having a great day!
Breakfast - protein shake
Snack - apple slices with almond butter
Lunch - leftover pizza from last night (about one and a half slices)
Snack - Greek yogurt
Snack - 2 snickerdoodle cookies
Dinner - tomato soup
Probably I'll do a protein shake for my bedtime snack because my cookie snack and my dinner had virtually no protein at all. I'm still at about 60 grams for the day, even without another shake, but I need a snack before bed and it might as well be high in protein since I haven't had any in a while.

Nope. It was cheap canned stuff.

You have such a great diet a year out. I am so impressed with and inspired by your dedication :)
I need to get better at cooking tilapia and not over cooking it! When I get home this weekend I will make a trip to trader joes and stock up on protein!
