Your pouch is supposed to stretch - it's the stoma you want to keep intact.   If you were only able to eat 2-3 oz at a time, for the rest of your life, it would be very dysfunctional.

A cup is very doable in the long term (although good luck with eating that much dense protein!!!)

The goal of this surgery should be to lose the weight during the honeymoon period, learn a new lifestyle and then maintain in a functional manner in the long term ...   We don't need to see ourselves as WLS patients (supplementing our meagre eating capacity) forever!
