How did I gain 10 pounds RNY 4/9

OMG I am so confused.  I weighed in the day of surgery 261lbs.  I have been on liquids, and doing everything I am supposed to do.  I weighed myself today at 271 lbs.  OMG WHY AND HOW  

Yep same thing happens to me.   It is all the fluids they pump into you.   About 5-6 days after  I got home the hospital wieght was gone and the real losing started.  Good luck!

It's the fluids from your hospitalization. Don't panic. Just follow your surgeon's instructions regarding your diet, get in the recommended amount of liquids, and tha****er weight will come off very quickly.

Okay, probably a silly question, but why are there asterisks  in place of some letters in posts?

There's a setting somewhere in your account that you can check that basically states that you're over 18, so it doesn't have to censor words by putting in asterisks.

I gained 18 lbs from the fluids while I was in the hospital.

I think you got off easy with just 10 lb gain while in the hospital.  I gained 23 lbs in my 5 days in the hospital.  Those IV fluids really stay with you.  It took about a month for me to lose all tha****er.

Strange that it replaced some of my letters with astericks.  All I typed was "lose all t h a t   w a t e r".   I think if you sound that out, it could be insulting.  I'll have to avoid using the word that before the word water.  LOL
