Need some encouragement
I'm three months out and been stalled for almost six weeks. I've tried increasing my exercise and being more mindful of my diet. I finally felt like I was doing well with my diet so I don't understand why I stalled out so dramatically now. I struggled early on with proper food choices due to having a nut who provided little to no guidance since I am what I think is referred to as a lightweight. I am now on track and still can't seem to make as much progress as when I was doing everything wrong.
Any advice would be helpful
Stalls happen unfortunately. Try upping your protein and water and giving a little extra while working out. The scale will move again. Remember you may be losing inches while waiting on the scale to move. Take your measurements to lift your spirits. Good luck!
“Let someone love you just the way you are – as flawed as you might be, as unattractive as you sometimes feel, and as unaccomplished as you think you are. To believe that you must hide all the parts of you that are broken, out of fear that someone else is incapable of loving what is less than perfect, is to believe that sunlight is incapable of entering a broken window and illuminating a dark room.”― Marc Hack

Stalls happen to me too. One of my tricks is to go back to my resting metabolic rate (RMR) teachings. If I eat more than 2200 cals I gain. If I eat less than 2200 cals I loose weight. Also with me weight loss is 80% diet and 20% exercise. Of course everyone is different. Also I am in a very good program for support.
Good luck to you.

Stalls do happen, but that seems like an awfully long one for so early out. Have you discussed with your surgeon? It might also help some of those with more experience if you could be a little more specific about what on track is to you... You should be eating mainly protein, lean meats and seafood and only a few bites of non starchy veggies if you have room. Are you weighing/measuring your food?
As I said I had an overall lower amount of weight to lose because I am a very small statured person. (Barely five foot) while I had only seventy pounds to lose at day of surgery that was forty five percent of my total weight which put me in the morbidly obese category. I lost 19 pounds so far which is more than a quarter of the way there. I was told by the nut at my surgeon that I was to eat a thousand to 1200 a day which seemed really high to me with a balanced amount of protein a vegetables. None of which seemed like what I had heard was a normal post surgery suggestion but I was losing steadily and doing ok. I then had to have a second surgery for a twisted intestine and have not lost so much as a pound since even though now I'm living on 600 calories and nothing but sugarfree protein drinks since I haven't been able to tolerate much else since the second surgery. I just don't get it. It's been more than six weeks, why am I suddenly having so much trouble taking the pounds off now?
