Bad boss!

Hi everyone,  I am doing well these days.  I am down to 211 pounds this morning.  I need to lose 10 more pounds to reach the Surgeons goal.  I feel great although I still have difficulty eating some meats.  I am seeking employment back in the trucking field.  My full time employer doesn't want to re assign me away from the jail kitchen.  I don't have any desire to continue working around food all the time.  Since a supervisor wanted to threaten my job over it I decided to show him I don't need his job as bad as he thinks I do.  I already have several trucking companies trying to lure me to them.  I plan to serve both jobs with notices this week and pick a company to go to.  I will leave for the new job after I have seen the surgeon for my three month check up.  Trucking is my choice anyway as jobs are concerned.  I love the field and never would have left had my health not gotten bad.  I know I will have to remain diligent to keep my weight off but it will be easier than being surrounded by food on two jobs.  I cook part time at Waffle house.  I will try to post more often.  I have been spending a lot of time searching trucking company sites.  Hope everyone is doing well.  Happy Easter to you all and God bless.

Jeremiah 29:11 " For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end".

Sounds like you've made good choices for yourself - both with regaining your health and deciding on the best job for you.  Good luck - just drive safely!!!

Are you looking OTR or local? You will have to make a real commitment to get exercise if you go OTR, that lifestyle can be hard to eat right. My family owned a truck stop much of my life so I understand. Good luck in the job hunt
