Today I have officially ran 200 miles in 4 months,Since my surgery I have completed 2 5k races, 2- 8k races and a mud run since last august, plus I completed a 20 mile bike ride and in 2 weeks will be riding 50 miles for Diabetes research, I am scheduled to do my first triathalon in June and half marathon in October and lots of 5 and 10k runs in between. I never in my life ever imagined I would be doing these things, and 2 years ago i could barely walk for 10 minutes on a treadmill and now I am running at least 4 a week. The link is the picture of my most recent 5k, the color run. I went into this wanting to be thin I have never officially made it to my personal goal but have reached my surgeons goal, but I now realize this is about being healthy and fit, and now i am an athlete and I am healthy and all of my comorbities are gone and that is what it is all about not a number on the scale. With hard work, perserverance, dedication, all things are possible.

Awesome! I'm doing the same athlete thing myself. I ran a 10k last month, and probably another next month...last year I could barely walk to my mailbox without getting super winded! I'm hoping to get on my bike super soon and wondering what kinds of cool things I can sign up for in the future! Great job!!
