Holy cow 9 months!!
In two days I will be officially 9 months post op. I am down 120 pounds since surgery, down 194 pounds since the start of everything. Ideally I want to lose another 21 pounds, however my surgeon is happy with where I am. (We all have our own goals!) I am no longer a diabetic which is AMAZING, and my health is perfection. That's not to say this has been easy, it has not. I had two serious infections post surgery do to complications from the diabetes. My husband had to learn how to pack wounds and I had to do that for about 2 months. And even though I went through all of that...I wouldn't change a thing!! I am so blessed to be able to run around after my kids and make beautiful memories with them. So, if you are reading this post and wondering if this surgery is for you I hope this helps. It has truly been a life changer!!
Congratulations!
“Let someone love you just the way you are – as flawed as you might be, as unattractive as you sometimes feel, and as unaccomplished as you think you are. To believe that you must hide all the parts of you that are broken, out of fear that someone else is incapable of loving what is less than perfect, is to believe that sunlight is incapable of entering a broken window and illuminating a dark room.”― Marc Hack
