I had the beginnings of glaucoma when I had surgery. My pressure went down when I lost weight. My doctor said that it was not a proven fact, but some doctors believe that losing weight reduces pressure on the optic nerve. It is the only thing believed that one can do for glaucoma.
Glad for your good check up. Did not mean to steal your thread, just thought I add my two cents.

Hmm, I have glaucoma, another motivator to cut the carbs and get this weight off. I never reached my goal weight and gained some too so I need to lose 100 lbs or so. So glad to have found your posts, you are all so inspiring to me! It looks like less than 50 carbs a day and lots of protein from now on.
