For the hospital
And a pillow to put over your tummy for the ride home. It will brace you and support you and make the ride much much easier. It is kind of like a shock absorber .... Softens the bumps. You will hit bumps you didnt know were there before surgery. I had a 7 minute ride home. I forgot the pillow but 2 minutes into the ride I made hubby pull over and get my pillow. I hugged it tight and it made a ton of difference for me.
The main things that I was super grateful I remembered to bring with me were my favorite lip balm (best stuff in the world), and face wash(amazing and kept me from feeling gross) .
You may also want to bring other personal toiletries (tooth brush/paste and qtips) and loose fitting jersey dress/pants for the ride home (I went with dress b/c I couldn't wear anything around my waist right after). I packed it all in my regular big carry-on bag and had everything in mesh, see through bags so if I needed something I could ask a family member or nurse to get it for me and it was easily visible.
Also, depending on hair length you may want clips, barrettes or elastics to keep your hair out of your face. Good luck!
