Quick question for the ladies on this site... Did anyone experience changes with their period? I had my surgery on 3/23/15 and so far I've had two periods for the month of April. Both times have been very different than normal, longer and heavier. Very strange to me. I also havent had any weight loss this week. Just curious if anyone else has experienced something like this. Sorry for any guys *****ad this and became grossed out. i warned you lol.

I just posted about this a few days ago cause i had rny on 3/23/15 as well  and have had my period practically ever since. UGH!!! From all the feedback i got on here it is pretty common due to weightloss and chages in our hormones!

You will experience a number of stalls. The most widely known is the three week stall that almost everyone experiences

I had my period twice the first month and then not again for 7 months.  Doctor said it was all due to hormone upheaval and weight loss and nothing to worry about.

Wow...you sound like me!  I had my surgery on 4/9/15.  I'm 49 and am definitely on the "slow down" side of periods.  So when I got my period on 4/16, I was thinking...ok, normal.  Problem...it kept on going and it was HEAVY.  I was getting ready to call the doctor this week and it finally started slowing down yesterday, 4/27, and I think it should end today (thank goodness).  I also have lost ZERO weight for the last 5 days (too funny, I just posted the question if that was normal).  My concern is that I was dealing with exhaustion since my surgery and kept thinking the period wasn't helping.  I was getting worried that it was sapping my energy and fluids.

I'm actually glad you posted since I think it's an important topic for women to discuss in order to know this isn't unusual.  I also think the guys that read are likely mature enough to understand that we are also dealing with unique issues to women!
