I went to visit friend in India for Thanksgiving.  I really wanted to buy some Indian clothes.  I read that most Americans can't just go in a store and buy something.  We are too big.  I would have to go to a tailor and have something made.  Guess what?  I went into a store and just bought something!

Usually the stores only carry up to a certain size. When I went to Chennai a couple years ago, I bought some tunics but it was in a special shop and they had a large range of sizes.

I did also go to the mall and they had a 'plus' size Indian clothes store.

I think im going to break out those kurtas and start wearing them, especially since they will be large and comfy on me now.
