I had RNY om March 28th.  I am still extremely tired.  I have no real pain bit I'm still so tired.  Has anyone else been exhausted this long after surgery?

Feeling exhausted was that way for me too.  I felt like I always could just curl up under my desk and nap if given the option.  At about 4 or 5 weeks I noticed one day that I was full of energy.  Ever since I have been bouncing with energy and feeling great.  Personally I drank lots of coffee prior to the surgery so I kind of think I was feeling withdraw from the caffeine. Once I was able to drink some morning java, life was good. Hope you feel better soon!

Yes - a 3 hour surgery will do that to you.  Focus on protein first and fluids in. You will get all the anesthesia out of your system and feel better.  I felt like a wet dishrag for several weeks.

Yes, I was so tired that first month that I would have my kids beat on my legs and back with their fists. It was helpful, I did walk the whole time though. 5 minutes at a time. It was slow at first, momentum will start soon.

You will be feeling much better in a short amount of time.

Completely normal. It can take up to two months for energy to return

It takes a while for some people. Your body has been altered so it will take some time.

You will feel better trust me. I used to be a night owl. Now I can't stay up past 10 at night.

Yep... it took me about 7 weeks to not feel like a patient... fresh air, water (super impt), walking... helps. Once you are consuming more protein that will help too... fuel.

You had major suugery! And you haven't eaten much. It gets better, gradually, but takes a while.

Not drinking enough makes fatigue worse also. Drinking more helps a lot of things.

Hey surgery twin...Exhausted isn't the word.  As long as they keep me busy at work I'm fine, but once I am home I can't seem to get the energy to do anything.  However, I did get up enough energy yesterday to walk a couple of laps around my job, which was a plus.
