I used to get migraines and then I stumbled across a way to stop them in their tracks. Still got the "hangover" afterwards, but none of the pain, just a little sensitivity to light and sound. I'll send you a PM with what it is because it falls under TMI, if you want.

Time since surgery : 3 1/2 weeks

B: Oikos Triple Zero Greek Yogurt, plain but added 2 TBSP of pureed fruit ****tail and a packet of Splenda (I buy canned fruits packed in juice, drain and rinse them, then puree them and keep them handy in the frig)

L: Tuna salad and Pretzel crackers, wedge of Laughing Cow

D: Salmon and ... ?? Not sure yet. I've got a 1/4 cup of mashed sweet potatoes still in the frig, so most likely that, with a 1/4 c of cottage cheese too

S: Strawberries and Cream Protein Shake (I bought this flavor by accident, but really like it!) and will probably have a SF popsicle after dinner.

Hi Everyone,

Well I'm out of the first week post op, lol. I think I'm going to survive! I had trouble with my drain. Apparently the port was causing suction and making my lower abdominal muscles spasm. It was excruciating! I was seriously having to do some Lamaze breathing. So, the drain is out and I don't have to carry it around to a couple of work meetings I must attend this week.

I'm still all liquids so most of my calories are from milk and protein powder. Looking forward to eating later this week. I'm sick of the sweet protein powders!

Good morning all of you CAMAW'ers (and those of you who aren't participating too).  My day today is crazy, with back to back meetings.  One actually got canceled, so it is giving me some time to post, even if it is late.  Sorry AV about your migraine.  I've never had one, so I can't really know how bad they are, but am sorry that you do.

I had a really nice weekend.  On Friday, went to a party at a gorgeous house, that made me want to go home and torch mine.  Then on Saturday I did a quick overnight trip to the beach.  I was expecting terrible weather, but it ended up being really nice.  I love the beach.  It is so relaxing, and I sleep better there than anywhere else.

I am posting some CAMAW photos from my prep yesterday.  The first is a chicken I roasted after marinating it in a lemon thyme marinade (2nd picture).  The third is frying up a big batch of bacon for my morning omelettes.  The forth is a pan of ground beef (96/4%) with taco seasoning, and finally, the fifth is a big pot of chicken stock for future recipes.  I got some stuff done!

Time Since Surgery:  19 months

B:  Egg Beaters, lite mozzarella and bacon (no nitrates) omelette

S:  Turkey pepperoni stick

L:  4 oz. ground beef and 1 oz lite mozzarella

S:  lite string cheese

D:  4 oz chicken breast

S:  2 oz black forest ham (no nitrites)

Totals:  Calories 603, Carbs 6 (!), Protein 84

It is amazing how low calories stay when you are eating dense protein.

Have a great day everyone!

I'm sorely tempted to take that bacon picture and make it the wallpaper on my cell phone.

Good Afternoon,

I haven't been on in over a week so I'm doing a bit of a drive by post today.  I am looking forward to reading through the posts later today. I missed that it was CAMAW.  Oops.  My stomach didn't like AMAW though, so I'm probably better off watching this one from the sidelines.

Today is one of those every-meeting-has-food days and I'm having trouble fighting it because it's a Monday and I don't have will power on Mondays.  Fortunately none of the meeting food has been too bad since I work with a bunch of nutritionists.  When they do bring in proper sweets, they tend to be cut into very small -- bite size -- pieces.

I keep calling CAMAW--CAM-WOW in my head!

B--I started with coffee then about 2 hours later I had bacon and cheese

L--Bacon and cheese

D--Rotisserie chicken and cheese

S--you guessed it --- cheese!

Simply and easy, but I can tell that I'm really going to be missing veggies by the end of the week.
