Im 4 days post op (so weird to say) ive waiting so long and for the most part its not as bad as i intended. I get frustrated that i cant even finsh my 4 ounce yogurt.. the recommended serving.. but hey it is what it is. Im trying to walk as much as possible i came home from hospital yesterday and walked 6 blocks! And felt great. Gas is killing me though. The worst anyone want to share any thoughts? experiences? Helpful ideas to overcome the pain? Anythiny helps :) thank you.

Walking six blocks is great- I recall only being willing to walk to the corner, then around the block etc. I'm afraid waiting it out and walking is the only pain remedy, along with using pain meds as needed.

Funny how different plans are. I'm 8 days out and I'm just now on full liquids/ 2 oz at a time.

Ya, every dr is different. Mine is 4oz.. 1 1/2 cups. And its REALLY hard to get it down on top of staying hydrated

That sounds like a lot at day 4. My Drs recommendations were quite a bit faster than a lot of other people's plans. I just slowly did the best I could but.... Definatley don't sweat it if you can't get it in. I'm only 6 weeks out and am just now learning to eat as little as I can, not as much as I can... I read that from a vet on this board and it really hit home. As long as you get in your liquid right now and your protein . Good luck

Give it time. I was also on full liquids...for 10 days!  I swear, I still can't look at broth!  YUCK!  Just make sure you are sipping water...ALL DAY.  You need to be very mindful of staying hydrated.  The rest will come in time.  Just be patient.  Protein intake ability will increase in time. Best of luck, and enjoy losing now! :)
