Try some canned chicken and add gravy or broth.

Choose what you want, just make sure it is moist and add a little gravy, broth or condiment. Small bites and chew well. Dry and being distracted is your enemy...LOL. My first time getting food stuck I was in a rush, had people coming over, cooked a turkey burger dry and ate too fast.... I was miserable. So small bites, chew well, eat slow, make sure it is moist and add a little broth, gravy or condiment as needed.

Crockpot recipes can be good for keeping things moist.

The facility where you had WLS has a responsibility to provide patients a wide array of post-op information to help you succeed.  Please inform them in your own words, "I have no idea...," so they can improve their instructions for you and others like you.  Your words, "suppose to progress to soft solids," suggests you were given some information, anyway.  Maybe a phone call to your pre-op dietician or nutritionist will give you guidance.  My favorite food was chili portioned out in 4 ounce cups.
