One day - you will be able to enjoy a whole serving of guacamole...just skip the chips...and be able to add lots of butter to veggies...

I try to eat at least 1/2 avocado a day . I add butter to my veggies..saute my meats on bacon fat, or coconut oil, or in ghee...

Fat is my friend...carbs make me gain weight... Fat - makes me lose weight..

Hi menu gang,

QOTD I have acouple of them. When I was told not to do something , I had to do it to find out why they told me not to do it. My mom was baking and she took a pan out of the oven and told me not to touch it and I went and put my chin on it. 2nd time my dad was taking our old wooden porch off and laid it up against our trash fence and told me to stay off it, I tried to slide down it causing a giant sliver going in my butt. I couldnt sit down and when my mom asked what was wrong, I told her what I did. A trip to the doctor. After that I learned not to do what they told me not to do.

B egg whites ham and cheese omelet and colby pepper jack cheese bites

L cottage cheese, baby carrots and yellow pepper

D it depends if I go to this hayride party for church or it will be pork loin and sliced carrots.

S Greek yogurt,  apple and turkey sausage snack sticks if i dont go

Have a good day

Happy Saturday Everyone!

QOTD:  One of the dumbest things I did as a kid (there were many dumb things):  My brother and I built a snowman in our parent's chest freezer in the basement while the babysitter watched soap operas upstairs, oblivious to what we were doing.  We hauled buckets of snow down the stairs and built the snowman inside the freezer so he wouldn't melt.  The worst part of it is, (Grim will cringe at this part), my parents had just purchased half a cow so we took all the steaks, hamburger and other meat out of the freezer to make room for the snowman and set it out around the basement.  By the time our parents got home and we excitedly showed them our snowman, all the meat was thawed out and dripping meat juice all over the basement!  They couldn't re-freeze the meat so they gave it all away to friends and neighbors.  We were actually too young to really know better so our parents were really more upset with the babysitter for no****ching us closer.

My menu for today:

B:  strawberries, crepe, cream cheese, cool whip

L:  lettuce, spinach, tomato, chicken, cheese, bacon, cranberries & nuts, low cal dressing

D:  taco meat, cheese & 1/2 flour tortilla

S:  Light N Fit Strawberry cheesecake Greek yogurt

S:  Watermelon

Exercise:  Walking the dogs around the subdivision

Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning!!

I'm much better emotionally today, thank you for all the kind thoughts!!

Weather is raining and dreary, much flooding in central New England last night. We live on higher up area so we were OK.

QOTD: As a senior in high school, it was the tradition to steal pumpkins from doorsteps around town and use them to decorate the gym for the dance the seniors gave for the in coming freshmen.

It was when I became a mom that I realized how devastating this was to the kids whose pumpkins were stolen. My boys cried their eyes out.  Bad Patty, bad, bad girl!!!

Morning folks! Today is rainy and windy- so no running. I did my trainer's workout & a few minutes of SWORKIT. The other night while leaving the gym a guy tried to pick me up-- I was shocked, after all I was a sweaty mess. He told he he was from Ghana and has been in the US 2 months-- my cynical mind justified his talking to me as means to secure a green card (cause no way could I be attractive enough to talk too). Gotta love  those self esteem issues!

Qotd: dumbest thing as a kid-- was of course food related! Sample size packages of toll house chocolate chip cookies were mailed to people's homes. We're a family of 7 kids- so one little sample was only enough to cause mayhem amongst us. So we banded together and decided to pull the samples out of everyone's mailbox on our street so there'd be enough for all of us lol. My sister got caught- but played it off as though she was getting that lady's mail for her lmao!!wondering what juvenile mail fraud gets you :-)

17 months post op

weight today 192.9

m1: Greek yougurt, berries, granola

m2: tuna 1/2 can, boiled egg, cashews

m3: meat spaghetti sauce  w/ricotta / mozzarella

Im seeing my current trend that planning/having a 4th meal is hindering my losing. I can easily meet protein goals in 3- I'm just emotionally connected to that 4th since I've had it so long. Not saying nothing else will cross my lips-- but I need to stop planning for it cause I end up eating it just because.

Ah face it--you are a hottie :)

I could never do just 3 meals. I need the frequency of the small meals to keep me going. I usually plan for 5.

Morning everyone! I don't usually post on Saturday's because I'm usually running somewhere... but this morning the kids had to be up early for the State Competition Marching Band today! So they were out the door with $50 of mine, and I'll go over to the competition later. Our little town really loves their band. At noon, half of the community lines the streets, the fire and police department escort the buses and semi's out of town, and it's almost like a parade for the Band Students! I cry every year. LOL

QOTD: I was a bad kid! My teen years in particular. I did everything from sneak out, to drink, took my moms car, hung out with drug dealers when I wasn't even old enough to drive, and had sex... I cringe every time I think of how lucky I was. A funny story is when my friend and I (about 14yo) stole my moms Volvo... we RAN OUT OF GAS!! So, as we're parked on the side of the road, a Constable stopped to check on us. Get this... we told him my mom walked home to change shoes and get gas money... so he drives us to a gas station, gets gas for us, puts it in the car, and leaves!!! I got caught because the next morning my mom noticed there was more gas in the car that morning! WTH??! My mom was a single mom, and young. She was very naive and I got away with too much.

B: 3 slices of bacon and 1/2 egg with cheese/ Huge mug of decaf with some skinny chocolate pecan syrup.

L: TBD

D: TBD

Snacks: I'll bring jerky with me as I'll be at the competition until VERY late tonight!

I am glad you put hung out with drug dealers. That was on my list to that I didn't put here. These were small town dealers. Not like they are today.
