QOTD:   I have that same ice cream maker.  I used to make ice cream a lot pre-surgery - haven't made it since.  I'll try doing the shakes in there when I get home - sounds great!

I also love my immersion blender - but I use it more for pureeing soups.  Also, my grill pan.  I use it several times a week.  Chicken, fish, pork chops, steak. We have a gas stove, so using the grill pan on top of that is really the equivalent of doing something on a gas grill (alas, not a charcoal grill, though - which is way better - still have to that outside!)

Morning folks! I've been on my run, breakfast was cooked, laundry started and dinner is prepped. Today I have to go find black pants and shoes for the older boy since he's shadowing at a high school and he needs to dress preppy. We got a super deal for a blazer for him of Friday. I shopped this weekend too- size 12 was my goal size so I really let loose and bought a few things. i haven't bought this much since I had to get summer clothes- so I think this all should work fine through this winter. It'll be interesting  to see where I'll be by next winter. I really don't want to go lower then 10, but when we plan God laughs.

Qotd: i can't think of a single appliance I love. I'm still debating returning the nutribullet- I don't see myself using it often. I just told hubby to list the food processor we have on ebay I've only used it Once in two years. I like the small handheld gadgets that makes life easier. I have a ground beef masher- I won't make spaghetti without it now. Potato peeler is an awesome invention too. Hamburger patty press, bacon press. My gadget draw overfloweth!

Good morning!

QOTD: I love my appliances!  I bought an Instant Pot after reading about it cooking meat so it is not dry... but it makes too much.  I am throwing food out right and left.  Seems to work better to buy a tiny amount of deli meat than to cook a huge amount.  I have asked for a compressor-type ice cream maker for Christmas... have the Cuisinart with freezable ring which is okay but not really ;)

Protein ice cream sounds great! I'll have to try that sometime.

Hope everyone had a great weekend! I'm posting super late, and wasn't able to post yesterday. It was just a good day (my sister visited and we took our sons to the pumpkin patch!) and I wasn't on the internet, bonus! Also, it was a breakthrough in my emotional post-op issues in that i had no anxiety all day! Last week and today are different, but at least i know its possible!
