Tummies are so weird. I think everyone has to experiment. For me... at home I drink Folgers Colombian, out I usually get Pike's Place at Starbucks. Most folks, even none RNY, agree these are strong bitter coffees. Personally I love em. I hope other folks offer their ideas and go-tos.

I quit coffee before surgery and it was a couple of months that I only drank herbal tea. I've been back on regular coffee now for about 3 months and occasionally it makes my tummy rumble, but I love it. I usually have at least one cup in the morning and an iced coffee in the afternoon. I drink it black and prefer it bold.

I used to drink coffee in the morning before surgery but since surgery I'm obsessed. I drink regular in the morning and decaf at night lately. I love flavored coffees and I'm always on the look out for a new flavor. I have a larger variety of k-cups than your average grocery store and that is no exaggeration. I like it with premier protein for creamer and Sf torani cause I like my coffee sweet.

I love coffee. I adore coffee. I would marry coffee if I could! lol My FB friends get sick of my coffee memes hahaha (So many memes, so little time!!) I have a Pinterest page dedicated to coffee memes. Yes, I'm weird

It tastes different to me after surgery cuz my taste buds got messed up for beverages. But I still drink it because...COFFEE!! *giggles

I don't count the coffee in my stats but I do count the cream because I'm keto and track my fats. I am a light and sweet gal...cream and xylitol now. And I was told I could have one mug a day post surgery, so I try very hard to stick to that, and only have more if I go out to dinner or something sometimes, or on a very loooong day.

I'm a coffee addict as well. I had to give up the caffeinated kind for the first six months after surgery, and then (my center said) I could only have one cup of caffeinated a day after that (decaf was unlimited). I usually went over that one-cup rule, but now that I have a suspected ulcer, I'm back to just one cup (of caffeinated) a day. Can't wait for this thing to heal so I can start slamming regular coffee again!!

I don't like anything sweet in my coffee, but I do like half & half. I can drink it black, but I really love it with half & half in it. I also love my protein/Miralax latte shakes - odd because I don't like sweet coffee - but then, the coffee in that is cold, and I don't make 'em super sweet. They're...different.

I drink regular coffee in the morning and decaf in the afternoon/evenings, although I do most of my coffee drinking before noon.

I always had to restrict my caffeine intake because my doctor told me it would help to reduce the painful lumps I used to get in my breasts (non cancerous). So I drank 2 cups of half-caffeine coffee per day for years rather than full caffeine. Then I had to quit even that before surgery.

After surgery I was told I could have decaf; they even served it to me in the hospital, but it made me nauseous. It too****il 3 months post op before I could add decaf back to my routine.

I now usually have 2 cups of decaf mixed with vanilla or caramel premier protein (1/4 cup of pp in each cup of decaf) every day. Lately I've been adding pumpkin pie spice and a tsp of vanilla cinnamon sugar free syrup to the mix...yum.

In the evenings, now that the cooler weather is here, I have 2 cups of ginger root tea with premier protein. I really love it.

I'm so glad to read plain water makes you nauseous, as I've always told my doctors that, and they think I'm crazy. It always has, and still does post surgery.

Now, on to COFFEE. I love coffee. Pre-surgery, I was told to switch to decaf, and I thought I was going to die. I had a very hard time, and still haven't found a decent decaf out. I did find a very good and strong decaf for my Keurig, thank goodness. It's Green Mountain Dark Magic decaf. I really love it, and never thought I would say that about a decaf coffee.

At Dunkin, I go with half caf, which is sort of drinkable. I'm 2 months post surgery on Oct 9.

That is the problem with most decafs- too weak. I will have to look for that one.
