I thought I had pretty much cornered the market on high protein, high fat, low-carb recipes. But he is like a reformed ***** right now... ready to pressure-cook the world quickly and healthily for me. Any Instant Pot recipe successes for RNY peeps other than the obvious stuff? He made me a wonderful Paella the other day... I picked around the rice and it was divine!

There is an Instant Pot forum on here with recipes and ideas. Happy teacher runs it.

My favorite is my version of a Pork carnitas.

Sear and Brown chunks of pork loin. Add 1/2 jar of salsa verde, adobo and cumin.... pressure cook about 45-50 minutes. Slow release. Shred and I will check seasonings and add some salsa as needed for moisture and to freshen up the flavors.

Some recipes say to take out and out under broiler, but i found that did work because the meat is wet. That is why I put a nice sear on the chunks of meat first.

I second the hard boiled eggs and chicken.

My fowl now comes out moist in the IP. Cooked through, moist, not raw, not dry.

Hard boiled eggs peel easily and in just 3 or less chunks. No ugly torn deviled eggs

My favorites are baby back ribs (24 mins and finished on the grill), mongolian beef (12 mins) and cold start Fairlife yoghurt (6 hours).

Join the official FB group, and try to use well trusted recipe sources - This Old Gal, Amy & Jackie etc. There are a lot of crap ones out there.

You are lucky to have a husband who can cook. Just saying.

Yes I lucked out in the husband department twice... first one was a restaurant owner, and second one is a foodie. I can't eat much, but when I do, it's fab!!

Thank you all! I make deviled eggs literally every week, so that is awesome! And the chicken and pork ideas.... Great!

I love my IP! It is so awesome to start with frozen chicken and have dinner on the table in like 20 minutes. It is a life saver. I second the Old Gal site as great for recipes. I have loved everything I had tried from her. My favorite of the moment is beef barely stew. I don't actually use a recipe anymore but basically brown the meat cubes, add enough broth to be sure everything is covered, 1/2 cup of barley, a can of tomato paste, and toss in any kind of veggies you like or have on hand. I set it for the "stew" setting. Yummy!

I wanna get one of those. I am totally in love with crockpots but this tool sounds amazing. I hate to cook so this would be wonderful
