I made it! Whew. Big morning so far. Early yoga class and spin class at the gym and I hit the treadmill when I was done with those to make a dent in the daily step challenge. Home, yard cleaned, me cleaned, laundry started and I'm finally having breakfast. Roger is very lucky that he's out at pickleball right now. Gives me time to right my ship.
Accountability yesterday was pretty good. Even though I did not hit my step goal, I did a yoga class and basically had an active recovery day. Kept moving and got a lot accomplished. Refrigerator completed emptied, scrubbed and reloaded. Grocery shopping and cleaned out another cabinet as well as scrubbed the fronts of another section. I swear I must smear my hands on every cabinet in the kitchen when I am doing food prep. All good food, no added snacks, 35 minutes of active exercise and 5253 steps.
QoTD: Coming home from Vegas years ago. Normally a 5-6 hour drive. Huge wildfire in the path. This was before gps maps, but we did have cell phones. I called a good buddy who I have nicknamed Map Man and he gave us a route to follow that took us out through 29 Palms and around. Took 13 hours, but we made it. Some people were stuck on that road for 24 hours waiting for it to be safe to pass. And my biggest memory of that day is how freaking awesome my kids were being stuck in the truck for all those hours. It's the kind of situation that could have broken out into World War III between them.

QOTD- One time when it started snowing I couldn't even get to the freeway, so I opted to go up over the west hills to get back to the garage. I chained up and it still took me 3 hours to get back, only about 4 miles. One of the scariest drives ever econoline van with rear wheel drive...
Still fighting off the allergies, my eye still feels like someone occasionally stabs it. Even with the antihistamine drops. But it is gradually getting better. I'm afraid to go outside for fear of worsening the allergies.
I didn't get my plants in the ground, my roommate was supposed to rototill yesterday but he didn't. He's not feeling well and is depressed he needs to go to the Dr and get on with it. I just need to take my own advice.
Not looking forward to the air show that starts today at 6PM we are in the flight path for the jets and it is incredibly loud and scary. Last year I didn't know what was going on but this year I do, it goes through Sunday so I'll try to not let it bother me. I hate loud noises and to be startled, it's definitely a trigger...
I need to get back to work. Have a great day everyone!

That meat with the grocery store labels should go through with no problems. I have been wanting to make some braciole. Enjoy your trip.

I have to admit, I woke up Saturday and thought "what on earth are we going to do with the grandparents for the next 3-6 days??"
