Cut out all carbs. Essentially, the only carbs that are taken in are going to be from some dairy products.

It's liquid proteins, sugar-free liquids for a couple of days, then a couple of days of soft proteins, and then back to lean dense proteins for a couple of days.

It's not a test per se, it's more of way to rid your body of the carb monster and get back to basics just like immediately post-op.

Days One & Two: Liquid Protein
low-carb protein shakes, broth, clear or cream soups, sugar-free gelatin and pudding. Read more.

Day 3: Soft Protein
canned fish (tuna or salmon) eggs, fresh soft fish (tilapia, sole, orange roughy. Read more.

Day 4: Firm Protein
ground meat (turkey, beef, chicken, lamb), shellfish, scallops, lobster, fresh salmon or halibut. Read more.

Day 5: Solid Protein
white meat poultry, beef steak, pork, lamb, wild game
