Liquid Diet Pre-Op

Hello!

I am going through the whole process-- appointments with nutrition, classes, etc. I have my next appointment with nutrition on May 9th. Tomorrow I am beginning an all liquids version of the Medifast program. This will put me at quite awhile on just liquids before surgery (as I am not even signed off for procedure yet). I'm doing this in attempt to prepare my body for surgery to the best of my ability. 

How long were some of your veterans on full liquids/clear liquids before surger?

Full liquids for two weeks.  Clear liquids for the last 3 days.

Was it worth it? YES!

I was a lower bmi, so I jist did one week before surgery.
