fed bcbs of pa sleeve as inpatient

did anyone have a problem getting their sleeve precerted as an inpatient procedure.  could you help me with a code if you did not... my insurance only wants to do it as an out patient procedure.  thanks for the input.

This is what BCBS-FEP has on my approval letter.  I was certified for 1 day inpatient.  If there had been complications, they would have certified more days on the doc's request.

Yup, inpatient.  Best of luck.  There seem to be regional differences on FEP depending on who the plan administrator is - but there shouldn't be!  Press the point with insurance and get the surgery that you want.
