from what I understand, surgeons usually will operate as long as you don't have a fever or if the cold is not in your chest. Best wishes.

You still have a couple of days to kick it! Get lots of rest, get an antibiotic from your PCP if you think its more than a cold and moving into the chest like Kristy said.
