What to take to Mexico
Hi, I know that this has been asked but for some reson I can't find it..
What do I need to take to mexico? I get comfy clothes and pack lite... but I was thinking I would take a couple of gatorade and waters.. I will be alone and don't really want to have to leave the hotel... I don't even want to do any shopping... I will be fine but I know there are some things I could take to make my self more comfy...also will I need my protein?
Just let me know what you took and used or didn't take and wanted?
Thanks so much
Angela
Please pray for me....

I had surgery in Mexico. Yes, comfy clothes!
Dr. Kelly's staff provides jello and gaterade so no need to bring any. Also if you go to the upgraded hotel there is a convience store right across the street if you need anymore. The hotel also has, in my opinion, some yummy tortilla soup (ask for broth only).
I suggest gas x (didn't work for me but I hear lots of people use it) but I was constantly putting on carmex as my lips were dry. I forgot slippers to walk the hallways but the hospital gave me some so it worked out fine. A suggestion is to take a laptop if you can as I used it a lot while I was waiting and there was one nurse that didn't speak english very well so I brought up a english to spanish translator and it worked great.
Good luck!

Yes, everyone spoke fairly good english and most spoke it very well. I just had one nurse that didn't speak it as well as I would have liked. She knew the basics and provided great care.
Yes, you can get room service but remember you need to get up and walk as often as you can---that is very important.

Are you going to the upgraded hotel Lucerna? It is 22 dollars more a night (2 nights) but well worth it. I felt very safe there. The staff was friendly, they had computers in the lobby, the pool area out back was very pretty. I even got bored so walked across the street for some different flavored gaterade with no problems.
