Anyone else freak the frack out right before pre-op liquids?

Holy crap, what am I doing?...

I've done so good the past 11 months, got the weight off that I needed for surgery. Followed the diet, charted it all, etc. Now that my liquid diet is coming up on Tuesday I am eating everything in sight because I know I won't ever eat like this again.. I guess this is my 'food funeral' phase? LOL... I'm back on track tomorrow and prepare for all liquids starting Tuesday. I guess I'm just freaking out bit! Scared to lose my 'friend'... GAH!

I admit to a couple of food funerals - but don't forget there really isn't anything that you can never have again - you just will be making better food choices and limiting those splurges.  If you think of it that way, it's not as bad!

Your gonna do great - make sure you have some sf popsycles - it helps during the liquid diet!

Yes.  It sucks.  The liquid part.  You and "your friend" won't be separated forever, just for a little while.  Then you form a healthier relationship with "your friend", one that's mutually beneficial.

I am in the same phase.  My surgeon wants me to start the liquid diet on July 29 but the dietician said I could start it earlier.  I started it earlier and had a melt down last night.  I had a turkey sandwich, then went to the movies and had popcorn and then had pizza for dinner.  I figured it was my last hoorah
