NSV (I Guess) - - and Threat to Measuring Device

So, not long ago I was in 42 waist jeans.  Got to the 40's about the time of surgery and for the past several weeks have been wearing my "skinny jeans" which are 38's.  I was at Costco an hour ago buying some protein shakes and saw that they had jeans for $13.99.  Since everyone on this board says not to spend much money on clothes during the first six months or so, and since I'm naturally cheap anyway, I thought it might be a good opportunity to pick up a pair of 36's for some future date.  Brought them back to my hotel (on a business trip at the moment) and decided to try them on.
They fit.  I'm wearing them now.  I think I'll go see the new Harry Potter movie tonight in them.

That's all I've got. - Except to say that I think I've lost weight on this trip.  For me, it's a lot easier to control my portions when I'm nowhere near a kitchen.  I don't go out to restaurants (which used to be the best thing about travelling), and I still seem to be able to get in a 90 minute walk every night.  On the beach this week!   I'm looking forward to getting home and getting on the scale.  If it doesn't show me significantly lower numbers, I will drive over it with my car and show it what "heavy" really means!

Yep, that's a nice NSV! Nothing like picking up a pair of jeans and thinking you'll get in them someday, only to find out you are already there.

Enjoy the movie if you go!~

Great NSV, congrats!

Room service used to be the best thing about traveling for me.  I could order any damn thing I wanted, and scarf it down with no judgmental eyes, except my own of course.  I used to peruse menus looking for comfort foods - mashed potatoes, fried things, ice cream, cake, etc etc.  No more, thank God!

Sorry.  No eyewitnesses. Murder and all.   Maybe I can take a video for you.   But, like I said, I'm really hoping I won't have to go there!

A video will do nicely. I'll put it on the big screen and leer at the scale... ;) You won't have to go there. I won't either. It'll move... one way or the other! LOL
